Support Essential Workers
We have been talking to our customers who are essential workers, and they have told us three basic things we can do right now:
Your purchase of any product from our Handwashing and Essential Workers collections benefits the following organizations. We also encourage you to click on any and all of the organizations below to make a direct donation today.
A note on our donations: Dissent Pins donates 50% of profits from all of our products to organizations working to build a better world. In this current crisis we are updating our donation methods, increasing the speed that we make donations (from yearly to weekly) for organizations supporting essential workers and adding organizations to our donee list on a rolling basis. We will post our donations on this page.
Please note: as the situation evolves every day we will add resources to this page.
- Stay home. If you are not an essential worker and it is possible for you, please stay home. This is by far the best way to take pressure off of essential workers.
- Wash your hands. Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds. Here's how and when to wash your hands.
- Be kind. Thank those people who are making sacrifices right now to provide healthcare, food, sanitation, transportation, and delivery. Be patient with them and with each other. There has never been a time in history when we have truly all been in this fight together.
