We ordered this pin to add to our puppy, Ada’s, collar. It’s a fun, shiny piece to add that gives a visual when my husband shares what her namesake actually did.

Nice pun, eh? As a woman IT, Ada Lovelace has been a role model for me ever since I first learned about her. I was over the moon when I saw that Dissent Pins added one for her! I received it very quickly and packaged very well. The pin is sturdier than it looks. I was initially concerned that it would be prone to bending due to the design of the pin, but it’s structural integrity is such that I have no worries about putting it on my daily-carry bag. Plus, the number on the punchcard (which the booklet tells you how to decode) is delightful cherry on the pie that is my Dissent Pin collection. Thank you so much for enabling me to expand my pin collection while also supporting amazing organizations. They make it clear what to expect (this is particularly important with pre-orders), and they meet those expectations.

I never thought I'd find a pin in the form of a computer punch card, and that it's one of Ada's rather than IBM's makes it 0xFFFF times better. She's a scientific hero well worth celebrating, and this nicely made, not-too-big pin does a good job of it. I am so glad I found it!
